HP touch screen not working after attempted Windows 10 upgrade I have an HP Touchsmart notebook. I attempted an upgrade from W8.1 to W10 . The installation went OK but there were conflicts with MS Outlook 2007 which would no longer send emails, and with the Touchscreen which simply stopped working. Dissatisfied with W10 I did a Rollback to W8.1. The email problem immediately cleared but my touchscreen is still not working. I have tried reloading the touchscreen drivers but no improvement HP ELITEBOOK 2740P TOUCH SCREEN DRIVER DOWNLOAD - For direct sunlight or especially sunny days the display is however not suitable since the LEDs can no longer trump the ambient light under these conditions, and thus requires a place in the shade. The 2740p has several configurations for screen. some of which include touch, some don't. You had the basic display with digitiser, the multi-touch screen with gesture support, and then both options with Outdoor view options. I've used them all four, but only recently started warming up to the touch option.
The deep keyboard, modern ports, good battery, and 13.3" screen appeal to me a lot. With a student discount, I'll be able to get one for $600 bucks new. I have an HP Elitebook 2760p running windows 8.1 64-bit Enterprise. You could say that pen and touch inputs work, as they are functional, but I have not been able to get pen pressure sensitivity in programs such as GIMP or Photoshop. I had the Fujitsu T901 drivers when my laptop was running Windows 7, and they worked perfectly. They do not
